Barry Stewart Seeking Position On Prairie South Board
Prairie South School Divison has its’ second candidate for Subdivision Six as Barry Stewart has been nominated. Subdivison Six has five Board Members At Large.
A recent Prairie South retiree Stewart believes his 22 years experience in leadership roles brings a wealth of information with him.
“Because of my experience in the sector I believe I bring a unique set of knowledge and understanding of PreK–12 education in our province and would welcome the opportunity to represent our Prairie South families,” his on-line profile reads.
While working at Prairie South Stewart served the stakeholders of the division with a focus on student outcomes. He also worked on the effective and efficient use of resources.
Stewart has represented the families of Prairie South on numerous provincial committees including the Director of IT on the Saskatchewan Association of School Board Officials.
Although he worked on the business side of the Division his spouse is a career educator/school administrator which helps him understand the challenges in the classroom as well.
Stewart has been active as a coach/executive member/referee/former president with the Moose Jaw Lacrosse Association along with coaching hockey.
