Are you interested in female hockey? Would you like to learn more? Would you like to give it a try and see what it is all about expense free? If so the Moose Jaw Mavericks are holding a Fall Festival on September 15th from 1 pm to 4 pm at Mosaic Place - 110 First Avenue NW.

Can you tell me when (date and time) and where the event is going to be held?
The event will be Sunday September 15 from 1-4PM at Mosaic Place
What is the purpose of the event?
The purpose of the event is to invite girls out to try hockey for the first time, so they can see how much fun the game is, and for our returning players to come out and see their friends they have made from previous seasons.
Who is invited to attend the event?
Any Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Female Maverick Initiation, Novice, Atom and Pee Wee age players and anyone who lives in Moose Jaw within those age categories that would like to try hockey prior to committing for a season.
What is the cost of the event?
Free.
At the present time what do you see for the upcoming season for Mavericks hockey? Are the numbers up or are they down year over year?
Looking at the growth at our grassroots levels our numbers are definitely growing in Moose Jaw which is exciting for the work that Moose Jaw Minor Hockey has been doing to promote the female game. This season the Mavericks program will also be hosting a Mavericks tournament November 29- Dec 1 which will showcase our Atom and Pee Wee Mavericks teams.
What is the biggest influence to get more girls to participate?
Their friends and current Mavericks families who are having a great experience with Moose Jaw Minor Hockey. Our families speak highly of the Mavericks program and the development of the girls.
How many teams and what divisions do you see Mavericks hockey having this upcoming season?
The season is looking great for Moose Jaw Mavericks. Looking right now we will have 2 Initiation Girls Teams, 2 Novice Mavericks Teams, 2 Atom Mavericks Teams, 1 Pee Wee Mavericks, 1 Bantam Mavericks and 1 Midget Mavericks team.
