Wildlife Rehabber Featured As Moose Jaw Nature Society Kicks Off Its Season
The Moose Jaw Nature Society kicks off its new year of events tonight at 6:30 pm at St Marks Presbyterian Church 80 High St East.
The speaker will be a well known Saskatchewan wildlife rehabber.
Many people ask for help for wild animals which are hurt, orphaned or abandoned while babies this program will let you know about what a rehabber does and how you can help out.
Everyone is welcome to attend the first fall meeting with special guest speaker, Jan Shadick.
Jan is visiting us from Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation in Saskatoon.
Here is your chance to learn more about what our amazing wildlife rehabbers do - and meet some outreach animals at the same time.
This is an opportunity to not only look at what are commonly referred to as gophers but also the chance to hold or touch a Richardson's Ground Squirrel or a Thirteen-lined Ground Squirrel.
This will be your chance to see Jan's wonderful educational ambassadors up close.
There is no cost to the program, however you are welcome to make a donation to Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation.
Memberships will be available as well, and are only $15 for adults, $5 for youth and $25 for family. Refreshments will also be available. For more info, contact Kim at (306) 681-3198. The society offers you a great way to network amongst other nature lovers!
