Annual Toy Run Parade Today
If you like parades or if you own a licensed motorcycle and a helmet and want to be part of one then you are in for a treat today.
Starting at 2 pm sharp the Moose Jaw Cycle Association’s 31st annual Moose Jaw Toy Run Parade takes place.
The parade of hundreds of motorcycles starts at the Fourth Avenue Bridge and then proceeds north up Main Street and then west on Thatcher Drive to the Salvation Army Citadel.
The annual parade is for charity where motorcyclists and others who give new unwrapped toys or donations to the Moose Jaw Salvation Army.
The toys are distributed to needy children at Christmas or other times of the year - whenever there is a need.
The annual toy run is a major fundraising event for the Salvation Army who are known worldwide for helping out those destitute and in great need no matter what their social status.
For those without a motorcycle who would like to donate you are welcome to do so as well.
Following the Toy Run there will be a steak night at the Park Hotel.
