Where To Buy Armbands For The Hometown Fair

Some of the biggest questions are where do you get those arm bands for the Moose Jaw Hometown which allow you not only entry into the fair but also unlimited rides on the midway.

There are three locations you can get the arm bands - South Hill Fine Foods at 468 Lilloet Street West, the Exhibition Office or the Burrowing Owl Centre at 250 Thatcher Drive East.

The cost of the arm bands are $45 for one days admission or $85 for all three days of the Hometown Fair.

“One day ride and gate would be the most popular,” George Fowler general manager of the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company said.

The arm bands must be purchased before the Hometown Fair begins.

“Once the fair starts we cannot sell them anymore. After that it is gate admission and ride tickets from that point forward,” Fowler said, adding “by far the arm bands are the most economical.”

Admission prices to the fair are $12 for adults, $8 for senior and students and six and under is free. This is just a gate admission which does not include free rides on the midway but they do allow free access to all entertainment on the grounds.

Sunday will be Kiddie Day at the Hometown Fair with discounts on the rides in the kids area of the midway.

Each year the fair averages about 17,000 people entering the gates over the three days.

The Hometown Fair hours are June 21st 3 pm to midnight, June 22nd noon to midnight and June 23rd noon to 10 pm.

The parade will be the evening of June 20th on Main Street.

According to Fowler it is 75 Farenheit and no wind.

Asked about why people should come to the Moose Jaw Hometown Fair Fowler said it is because what the fair is based on.

“We are family friendly and have geared most of our entertainment to be family friendly.”

Free events included in the gate admission announced so far are the K9 Stars Dog Show, Ride the Vibe Motorcycle Stunt Show, Animal Cracker Conspiracy plus Mango and Dango.
