Gymnasts Do Well in Saskatoon

It was a good weekend for local Moose Jaw gymnastics as the local club Gymnastiks traveled to Saskatoon to participate in the Marian Classic Meet Febraury 8 - 10.

In Junior Olympic 3 (born 2009) Evelyn White of Moose Jaw was able to win capture all round title with score of 9.766 in vault, 8.600 on the bars, 8.817 on the beam and 8.217 on the floor for a combined total of 35.400. White was also first in the beam portion of the competition.

Her closest rival was Logan Temple, also of the Gymnastiks club, who had a a score of 9.533 on the vault, 8.483 on the bars, 8.600 on the beam and 8.483 on the floor for a combined score of 35.099.

Also doing well was Shane Closs who placed second in the all round competition Junior Olympic - 6 (2000 and before) with a total score of 36.965. Closs scored 9.516 in vault, 9.066 on bars, 8.900 on beam and 9.483 on floor. She tied for first in the bars portion of the competition.
