Library To Present Free Movie This Wednesday
When it was released in 1993 the critics of the day said it was sure to be a Christmas classic to last for generations, so much so it was remastered and re-released over a decade later and now you can watch it for free.
This coming Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm the Moose Jaw Public Library located in Crescent Park - 461 Langdon Cresent - is presenting the animated holiday classic ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’.
Tim Burton’s classic stop action animated film was not only well received by the critics but by audiences as well. In normal animation the characters are drawn, in stop action the characters are constructed and then moved very little frame by frame.
The story is about how the characters of Halloween attempt to annex Christmas for themselves and how in the end it turns out.
When it was initially released Disney released it under the Touchstone Films label as they worried it was too dark and scary for smaller children on its subsequent re-release in 2006 it was released as a Disney film.
This is a family friendly event. All ages are welcome! Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is all part of the Moose Jaw Public Library’s free programming which is not only designed to help your child learn but also be active and have fun.
