It might be Winter and cooler outside but the first three days of February are going to be a lot warmer indoors as Saskatchewan’s largest and longest running gaming expo returns to Moose Jaw February 1-3, 2019.

GAX (Gamer’s Association eXpo) has been a semi-annual event hosted by the Moose Jaw

Gamers Association (MJGA) since 2010 and this year’s event features all aspects of gaming from computer, classic and modern consoles, card games and board games.

Attendance has continued to grow year after year, and after record attendance at last years GAX event, organizers are hoping this year’s expo will be an even bigger success.

Attendees to GAX can expect 3 days of excitement featuring LAN gaming, popular and obscure board and card games, classic and modern console games on projection screens involving games for 1-8 players. Plus, one of the fastest growing trends in gaming will be showcased with top E-sport games and highly ranked E-Sport Gamers in attendance.

Organizers with MJGA say the event boasts vendor booths, door prizes, and includes a free pizza party Saturday night. It is definitely a visitor friendly, relaxed, & supervised environment suitable for all ages.

With the MJGA being a not-for-profit organization, a large portion of the event proceeds in past years has benefited Hunger In Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Paediatric Ward, Children’s Wish Foundation, and the Saskatchewan Paediatric Auditory Rehab Centre, to name a few.

MJGA was also recently nominated for an MJBEX award. This year we are donating to Literacy in Moose Jaw.

MJGA Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring their board games, card games, gaming

consoles and computers from home to enhance the event even more with the possibility of tournaments and prizes.

Console fans can expect everything from Classic Atari games, Sega, Nintendo and more including a Wii-U featured on a projector for large groups to play. Meanwhile, other gamers can expect everything from traditional and non traditional card games, board games and role playing games like Dungeon’s & Dragons with plenty of table space from everyone.

This year’s GAX will be hosted at the St. Joseph’s Church Basement Hall, 1064 3rd Ave NW in Moose Jaw on February 1-3, 2019. LAN and PC gaming seats are $25 if purchased by January 18th, 2018 or $30 at the door. General admission for non-LAN gamers is just $15 and players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

ALL early registrations will be entered in a draw for a $50 gift card of their choosing from Steam, Xbox, Playstation, or local board game store.
