Public Accounts List Council Remuneration And Expenses
On Monday afternoon Council is scheduled to receive the 2023 Public Accounts.
In the 2023 Public Accounts there is a listing of all monies spent in the course of the year.
Part of those listings are what remuneration and expenses for members of Council.
We list the remuneration and expenses of all members of Council based upon the highest submitted and accepted expenses.

Being a full-time mayor the highest remuneration and expenses was Mayor Clive Tolley.
Mayor Tolley received $110,834.52 in remuneration and submitted $7,791.30 in expenses.
The highest remuneration and expenses submitted by a councillor was Councillor Doug Blanc.
Councillor Blanc received $35,839.44 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $1,846.93.
The second highest approved expenses was Councillor Crystal Froese.
Councillor Froese received $35,813.38 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $1,688.96.
The third highest approved expenses and highest remunerated councillor was Councillor Kim Robinson.
Councillor Robinson received $35,839.44 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $1,198.46.
The fourth highest approved expenses and highest remunerated councillor was Councillor Jamey Logan.
Councillor Logan received $35,839.44 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $50.
The fifth highest approved expenses and lowest remunerated councillor was Councillor Dawn Luhning.
Councillor Luhning received $35,813.38 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $0.
Editor’s Note - Councillor Luhning was listed here because she receives an undisclosed sum and expenses by sitting on various Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association boards.
The sixth highest approved expenses and lowest remunerated councillor was Councillor Heather Eby.
Councillor Eby received $35,813.38 in remuneration and submitted approved expenses of $0.
It needs to be noted that the expenses are not broken down by individual invoice but just show a total amount of approved expenses.
The individual invoices and expenses are available through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request - stay tuned for that in a future story.
