City Releases Remuneration In 2023 For The MJPS

There is the old saying crime doesn’t pay but on the enforcement side of the equation it most certainly does.

According to the recently released Municipal Accounts here is the remuneration paid in 2023 to employees of the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS).

The remuneration amounts are publicly released under provincial legislation designed to assist keeping government organizations accountable.

Here is the list of the top 15 remunerations paid out in 2023 to the MJPS:

  • Chief Richard Bourassa, $201,833.21

  • Deputy Chief Rick Johns, $184,208.37

  • Staff Sergeant Chad Scheske, $171,835.64

  • Staff Sergeant Taylor Elder, $170,639.34

  • Superintendent Richard McKenna, $170,473.38

  • Superintendent Taylor Mickleborough, $170,473.38

  • Staff Sergeant Sheldon MacNaughton, $164,799.41

  • Sergeant Myles Coghlin, $162,985.68

  • Constable Kyle Cunningham, 10th year, $160,817.71

  • Sergeant Kevin Adrian, $157,316.87

  • Staff Sergeant Trisha Seman, $156,590.62

  • Sergeant Randell Boechler, $156,274.10

  • Sergeant Jason Watt, $155,518.04

  • Constable Aaron Woods, 10th year, $154,301.24

  • Constable Jim Biniaris, 10th year, $153,895.30

The Municipal Accounts show 53 out of 73 MJPS employees earn in excess of $100,000.

Please note the City’s remuneration listing does not take into account any back pay from collective agreements they merely show how much was paid IN 2023.
